When can I lodge a dispute?

 

You must first have submitted a claim to your employer. For more information call WorkCover’s Claims Assistance Service on            13 10 50.

You can lodge an application to resolve a dispute with us if:

  • you have not received a decision about your claim from the insurer (for more information on how soon an insurer should make a decision click here ) If you have not received a decision about your claim from your insurer, you must contact WorkCover's Claims Assistance Service on 13 10 50 before lodging an application with the Commision.
  • you have received a letter from the insurer saying that your claim has not been accepted (s74 or s54 notice). For more information click here.
  • you have received a letter from the insurer saying that they have accepted the claim, but you disagree with the amount of compensation payable. For more information click here.
